Brief
How might we help city dwellers on their walk in the dark feel more confident and safe?
Solution Overview
The artificial intelligent drones gather and process vast amounts of data and information, offering new services to walkers at night and reducing the urban crime rate.
Background
Walking alone at night is possible with higher risk factors due to the reduction of identifying the surrounding environment. Slower reaction to processing information makes walkers unable to accurately and effectively prevent and respond to danger. Street plays an essential role in urban public space and is an important carrier for outdoor activities, and its public security issue has become the focus of public attention. With the innovative technology developed in the digital age, global cities such as London combine the concept of a smart city with urban planning and apply many digital technologies to the prevention of crime in public spaces, aiming at more effective supervision and management.

How can we help city dwellers on their walk in the dark with better safety? How to integrating urban systems and crime data under the digital cities era make London a more livable city?
Problem Address
1
Lack of police officers on duty at night. Police cover is thinnest after dark when most crime is committed
2
Difficult to reduce the crime rate in the short term, intervention in advance is essential
There exists an absence of supplementary police personnel dedicated to ensuring security during nighttime. In the current situation, incidents of night criminal activities continue to be reported. The implementation of crime prevention measures could potentially decline the sense of insecurity of pedestrians, eventually contributing to a reduction in the overall crime rate.

HOW MIGHT WE
How might we maximize limited urban resources to decrease the crime rate?
How might we help city dwellers on their walk in the dark feel more confident and safe?
Introducing
Electric Elves
Connect urban residents, police stations and governments to build a huge security system network

How does it work?
1. This drone has the functions of real-time monitoring, alarm, and negotiation. but also has a camera for object detection and video recording.
2. Infrared thermographs are used to identify suspects and abnormal circumstances at night. Microphones and loudspeakers allow the police to talk with suspects remotely or the users to call the police.
3. The app has a general mode, an emergency mode, and a monitor mode. Different modes are displayed on the product and the app in different functions.
